Honestly the idea of people around me having brain implants is concerning, but I am cynical and have reasons to distrust tech companies. That said, for people with brain damage that affects their every aspect of life, happiness, ability to participate in society, I completely understand the need to make such a thing and the desire to use it. I really hope the companies making brain implants take security seriously and don't sell out to those that would want to spy on or manipulate those with the implants.
... would I want to plug an "Elon-brand" implant into my brain? :/
