Just to decompress, a nice little question, what song or genre moods have you been in today or lately? Hell N Back by Bakar has been in my head all day. So has INFATUATION by BROCKHAMPTON!
"White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane. But that's probably because I've watched the Matrix Resurrections trailer about 40 times now.
Outside of that... I'll just say that I just redid the song selection I carry on my mp3 player for bike riding / running / lifting and switched up the selection a bit. There's now less brutal death metal and black metal, and more thrash metal, glam metal, and traditional heavy metal. In the process of doing that I picked up a few new albums by bands that I had not listened to extensively in the past, like Tygers of Pan Tang, and Blazon Stone. I highly recommend both bands to anybody who likes metal.
In the context of what I was talking about above,
I find that this kind of stuff is, for my tastes, better for endurance sports like bike riding and running. I still enjoy listening to death metal, black metal, grindcore, etc. of course, but for working out I have found that I prefer something with more of a "groove" as opposed to just a non-stop acoustic assault at TEMPO = BPM = MAX_INTVAL. That and understandable lyrics that prompt more of an emotional reaction.
