You Can Swap an EV Battery in China for $7 (gizmodo.com.au)

Musk managed to sell "battery swap won't work" and I regret we fell for it. Battery swap works fine. He just didn't benefit from the economics of it. He does better driving a unique proposition like batteries in the structural frame.

All kinds of odd fears stem from believing you HAVE to own the battery. If you paid for use of the battery, lemon batteries would be driven out. Gresham's law hoarding of good batteries wouldn't work.

We'll probably get battery swap in trucks. It makes more sense. We should get it in taxi. Uber eats drivers on electric mopeds (like in Asia)

Battery swap in trucks:

But you're probably better off with hydrogen fuel cells for trucks. More range, lighter power train, faster fueling than charging.
