> curl is not installed by default in many distros

Which ones (apart from alpine)? I thought curl was pretty much as basic as it got and is always there.

I just installed Ubuntu using deboostrap and it did not come with curl (to my surprise)

debian

Not enough fibre.

If you do keto, you are allowed to eat many vegetables that are rich in fibre. But if you follow a meat-only diet will make it really difficult to poop. I wonder how carnivorous animals do it. Are they constipated all the time?

I believe their stomach acids are far stronger, their bowels are a faster path to exit, and they often eat adjuncts which I assume help move things along.

Here’s a brief explanation from a member of Cornell faculty: http://www.madsci.org/posts/archives/2004-10/1096814276.Zo.r...

Easiest poop was when I was carnivore(you poop very little amount). Being constipated means you didn't get enough fat. Having diarrhea means you got too much fat that your body couldn't absorb fast enough.

At start of carnivore you'll probably have diarrhea since your body/colon isn't yet used to so much fat/meat. But then you get get used to it (1-4 week).

That's true. When I've had a lot of meat, I take a tablespoon of psyllium husk in a cup of water.

I would prefer to do this on zfs, for which there is a lovely installation guide on the openzfs docs site.

I can vouch for how good it works. Using it on my personal laptop.

I tried ZFS-on-linux with Ubuntu 21.10 and it ate my data (ZFS panics when accessing certain files). Sure, Ubuntu does have a habit of using unstable kernels, but I was still disappointed. It should be stable at this point.

That corruption was caused by a patch that Ubuntu created themselves, it was never in upstream. ZFS on any other platform would be OK.

I've never tried Ubuntu, but zfs has been rock solid on Fedora, Arch and Debian for me. Whatever the issue that hit you was, I hope recent versions of Ubuntu/zfs have fixed it.

Debian already maintains these images and has non-free firmware packages. They're just not enabled on the main installation disc by default. You can get non-free Debian images, they're just harder to get to.

Edit: Here we go. They're "unoffical" images for sure, but they seem to be maintained similarly to the official ones. https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/non-free/cd-in...

Yes, the OP is mentioning those as well. I don't think they, or the non-free repos, are under scope for LTS for example, though?

I'm no expert, but my assumption for both is more liberal antibiotic use and the quality of the feedstock. Free ranging chickens (in my experience) taste better than battery-farmed ones. I don't think the chicken KFC buys is free-ranging. As for your second point, antibiotics are often used to get chickens fatter than they can get naturally within a very short timeframe. This publication[1] (from 2018) goes into some detail about the entire practice.

Not the GP, but I can anecdotally confirm this. Breaking caste barriers remains unusual in most of India. The Indian HN community is biased towards Bangalore, Delhi and Bombay where rates of exogamy amongst the upper middle class are far higher than in practically all other parts of India.

Certbot (and other acme clients such as acme.sh) are practically set and forget. I’ve never once had to touch those configs again once they were made ~4 years ago.

Certbot is a snap application nowadays. I was pretty screwed up when I decided to install it on CentOS system without SELinux, which snap requires.

But I would agree here, even when I had the problems with LE (botched cron config) it only required me to 'administer' it 4 times a year. And when I fixed cron config I don't need to do even that.

I’ve personally switched to using acme.sh over certbot. Much easier to setup (since it’s just a bash script) and supports practically every DNS API.

Their response was about how it wasn’t the secret to mongol success specifically. The mongols had the double recurved bow and the advantage of a fully nomadic pastoral society in which all adult males were trained to be warriors. That and Genghis Khan’s decimal system is what transformed them into a fearsome conquering machine.

It's much harder to get email subscriptions going on Hugo as compared to WP. Ghost might be a better option, I feel.

$ networkctl down wg0

$ networkctl up wg0

I’d you’ve changed the WireGuard config then:

$ systemctl reload systemd-networkd
