The new hotness in the world of AI is agentic abilities and tool use. Roocode is able to use browsers and command line like wild, I think AI is ultimately a great tool, but like any great tool, people are going to try to sell it like snake oil.

Get it while you can. Hopefully, we have a different president in 4 years.

I like reading this one outloud, usually only the first few paragraphs,

Police labor is for billionaires only.

Not in Toronto, Canada.

Barry and Honey Sherman were killed in late 2017.

see https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/money-and-power/a6... and https://www.thestar.com/news/sherman-murders/

Let's be honest, the Toronto police and the Ontario Provincial Police are often more Keystone Kops than anything else ...

more specifically, its for billionaires to exert power against non billionaires.

the cops aeent going to do stuff for dead billionaires.

I think that is one of the main arguments with self driving vehicles. If the vehicle can make a decision, that might result in the death of another, Who do you sacrifice? The Driver, a pedestrian, or another vehicle.

In theory, the other vehicle is impact resistant, more so than a Tree or pedestrian.

Tough nut to crack.

Such decisions should be locale-dependent. The value of a life changes by geographical area.

I'm kidding, but just a little.

Isn't this against the Geneva convention? Flame throwers and Napalm are both outlawed, that would make this a Warcrime.

AFAIK, Napalm is illegal against a civilian population. IDK that it is illegal to use against military installations.

Not that I think it is necessarily a smart move on the part of Ukraine, since Russia can play this game too.

Allowable against military targets.

Russia uses TOS-1 thermobaric heavy flamethrowers A LOT in this war, so either this is lawful or no one cares.

The geneva conventions apply only for wounded and sick on land(geneva convention I), wounded and sick on sea(geneva convention II), captured soldiers(geneva convention III) and at last civilians.

The Hague Conventions on the other hand limit what weapons can be used. in the 1899 article IV may be violated.

Incendiaries are not banned for military targets. Even white phosphorus is only “restricted” such that you need to take precautions regarding collateral damage. And GC specifically doesn’t regulate arms it mainly deals with prisoners and such.

Russia is blowing up schools in Lviv, which is closer to Poland than Russia. I think that ship has sailed

In the most recent strike on Lviv's historic center to which you are referring, 7 people were killed, including nearly an entire family of 5 (and wounding 35 others):

Of the five members of her family, only Yaroslav, Daryna’s father, is now alive, a lone survivor of a Russian strike on their home in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv on Wednesday.

According to eyewitnesses, Daryna, 18, her sisters Yaryna, 21, and Emilia, 7, and their 43-year-old mother Yevhenia were killed while sheltering in the staircase of their residential building, the Ukrainian emergency services said.

The attacks also damaged seven educational facilities, including a primary school and three secondary schools, including Lyceums 5 and 17:

Russia's defence ministry said that "all designated targets had been hit":

Curiously, you are choosing not only to omit this information, but to depict the result of the strike as something entirely different from what it was.

Clearly the target was something else in the vicinity.

"All designated targets had been hit", said the Russian Defense Ministry.

Why would Russians do something that rotten from the moral point of view and so wasteful from the purely military pov?

Ask your neighbors.

I tend to use https://www.lightningmaps.org because it is less visually noisy but I believe it is ultimately sourced from Blitzortung. I unplug my computer whenever there is lightning nearby.

I've found lightningmaps.org to be somewhat degraded over the last few years. The web app sometimes just sits there and shows nothing. And blitzortung, the parent data source, still has the US divided into six chunks with no better resolution on the map.

Interesting. However, I am not a developer but I do have more than 5K stars, it might be a good idea to look into that stars that a user has.

They announce that all of their data centers use 100% green renewable energy.
