Am I the only one who actually likes this approach of having horizontal progress-bar on articles? Its not a scrollbar as it fills up from the left rather than moving a small block across the screen.
Living here in Northern Europe I've always read left to right and counting percentages 0>100 seems more natural to visualize left>right rather than top>down.
I can't recall right away what website had it but if I read a really long article on my mobile phone, it showed a similar bar on the top but that was showing me progress on how far I had read. As iOS hides the scroll-bar once I stop to read, I found it a nice touch.
I'm pretty happy with our government's website. The first few versions where a complete data overload and looked liked they were made in MS Excel. Now its pretty fresh and well structured in my opinion.

Each bus, trolley and tram has a GPS device. The data seems to be refreshed after ~10 second intervals. Not sure if an API exists to create other apps based on the data.
I agree with that. 500px is a bit elitist (although does have a lot of 'quality' photography in the mainstream sense). Flickr on the other hand is a lot more loose and if one knows how/what to search, there can be real gems and aspiring new artists to be discovered, alongside all the old masters.
