... and work constrained to that ship in a bottle. No thanks! I do a lot of interaction between Bash and the rest of my OS X userland. That is something I found completely impossible with the Linux subsystem on Windows.


I'm with you on that. This effectively ended any reason I still had left to develop on OSX.


A Linux emulador, that is...


It's not an emulator. It does live translation of system calls. Much like WINE (Wine is not an emulator) isn't one either.
