I mean, if you take AMP to it's logical conclusion why should Google allow anyone to host their own webpages when Google can host them all better and faster.


The point of AMP is everyone can host their own pages, and anyone who wants to can host their own AMP cache. So, no, your description isn't taking AMP to it's logical conclusion, it's extrapolating a distortion of AMP.
