Remember when San Francisco (and the Bay Area in general) had a bunch of bands and artists? There’s a couple, but not anything like it was 20 years ago. It makes me sad. There’s more market rate housing, and a little bit of very low income housing, but for those not in tech, it’s tough. If you make six figures, you can find a place to live in the Bay. It may be small or run down, but if you make the median personal income, $52k, you’re pretty screwed without spending at least half your take home pay on rent.
