While these certainly exist, you would need to know what your doing to not need to do much.

And almost impossible to be remote.



SRE would of course require to be on-site but I think building some docker images and checking if some LAMP stacks run fine could be done remote.

On the contrary, I find it quite easy. In the last year or so I've been to the empty office three times: twice to restart local VPN, once to sign a contract because I was switching companies.

I'm definitely going to be looking for remote positions in the future.


Are these jobs where you don't have to work more than two hours a day like OP wants? Sure there are remote sysadmin jobs but not these kind of jobs where they just want a warm body in a chair.
