Thing we can do today to JavaScript is to retire it (devclass.com)

Sometimes I wonder if these people live in reality. It's the same as the "PHP is a bad language" people. Sorry, but the results speak for themselves, both JS and PHP are thriving and the ecosystems get way more attention that pretty much any other language out there.

You can complain and moan about it or you can roll up your sleeves and do some work. I learned a long time ago to not care what people think of languages since they often have no/bad ideas for a replacement and/or aren't actually solving any real problems, just throwing stones from the sidelines.

I went to the linked site and it just highlights how disconnected from reality these people are. The website is straight out of the 90's, I can't find code sample easily, and there are broken links, this is a bad joke right? If this is really what Crockford thinks should replace JS then it's clear he is off his rocker.

Lastly I couldn't care less what the creator or JSON or JS think about either, those projects left their hands a long time ago and I seriously doubt either are working with this stuff daily, they don't get a vote and their opinions don't really matter.

He's done the work, so he has more right to complain than most:

* https://www.oreilly.com/library/view/javascript-the-good/978...

* https://www.json.org/

* https://www.jslint.com/

* https://www.crockford.com/jsmin.html

I'd be happy to do the honors. I'll just drag JS out back and give it the Old Yeller treatment.
