I don’t follow nginx so what I say might not mean much, but this is a weird read for me. It reads hollow, like a PR document but at the same time also feels abut like trying to make amends to the open source world but fails at that a bit. Was there some history here where nginx the company did wrong by the community or was the community aggrieved with nginx? Something happened for sure.
Also they should have stayed away from erstwhile Ballmer phrases like “open source is not production ready”, who thinks that way? Tells me that this is not written by someone that contributes or understands open source at all.
