There is quite a lot of chatter about this paper in certain groups.

Compared to population sizes, numbers still seem minuscule. So the “safe” aspect of “safe and effective” would seem to remain just about appropriate.

Yet there also seems to be an increasingly definite and concerning risk profile emerging.

Is that a fair summary?

That's what I am getting as well. Also, they only looked at the autopsies, presumably most of the mortalities are not autopsied. Lancet just removed the article, - it lasted only 24 hours online.

Would be good to see a bit more detail on why the conclusions are not supported by the methodology. Is it simply that the conclusions reached a bit far?, or are the Lancet claiming that the paper is factually incorrect?

a fair summary would be to say it's retracted because it's BS

it's retracted / BS
