How Konspire2B Works (2003) (archive.org)

This was an early, somewhat underground, federated peer-to-peer file sharing system. It's similar to BitTorrent in that distribution is shared across nodes, but it also has 'channels' which can be subscribed to in order to stay up to date with content. This aspect of it is more like modern Fediverse. Shame it never took off, I find the architecture very interesting!
