Does anything stop you from putting Linux on it? (Of course it might be hard to compete with the “just works” Steam Deck)
I am interested in little PC’s for “hacking” in the go (like programming an Arduino at a Hackathon) and it looks like I’ll be repurposing a Dell Latitude retired from work for that, probably with Linux. not least because it doesn’t have a free Windows license and I have enough Windows computers anyway. If I wanna use Windows I can RDP into my big machine.
A machine like the Aya would be good fot his job and probably sexier than the Latitude.
It definitely won't be as supported as the Steam Deck, maybe you could use that for that purpose, although you need to tote a keyboard / mouse for the hacking experience.. I would love to see something along the vein of the Aya Flip but mainly w/ Linux in mind.
I kinda already pack a keyboard (oversized and missing a key but has a good stand built in and is a bird in the hand) and a mouse to use with my iPad and the iPad can RDP into my big gaming PC and cloud instances which is good for a lot of things but not so good for programming an Arudino or accessing the OBD II in a car via a WiFi dongle.
Now that AYA would be really fun for hacking and hooning at the same time.
