Using meetup to find a local running group has been an interesting experience. I am not buddies with them but it is nice to get out of the work bubble.

I joined a community college concert band playing trombone. I’ve since started playing in other groups as a result of that

Ehh, in my country I have this issue that people from the church (if we find someone our age group) are kinda "puritans" about the wrong things ie can't say they love beer or gaming or crossfit... It never worked.
