I was referring specifically to using the text messaging system, not the Internet. You still cannot send livephotos via Whatsapp/Telegram. They convert to still photos. So you still lose something there.

MMS limitations are only relevant because Apple makes them relevant. I have never sent or received an MMS outside of the iMessage interoperability context. This is obviously deliberate.
