on my ubuntu, `date -I` does iso dates

Also re: alphabet

    $ echo {a..z}
    a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z




date -I even works on macOS, which I was pleasantly surprised by!

If you want the exact alphabet behaviour as the OP:

    $ echo {a..z} $'\n' {A..Z} | tr -d ' '
